Importation of eggs to continue

The Government plans to keep importing eggs to address a shortage in the local market. 

 

 

The State Trade Corporation (STC) is managing this and has approval for the next three months to import around 1 million eggs daily. 

 

 

The decision to import eggs from India was made earlier to tackle the shortage.
