Two dead after illegal mine collapses

A tragic incident occurred in Rakwana, where an illegal mine collapsed on Friday night, resulting in the death of two individuals. The mine, located in the Number 1 area on the Rakwana-Madampe main road, unexpectedly collapsed while four people were inside. 

 

 

Currently, two individuals remain missing, while the bodies of the other two victims have been recovered and taken to the Kahawatta Base Hospital.

 

 

The Rakwana Police are investigating the incident to gather more information about the cause of the collapse and the circumstances surrounding the illegal mine.
