42 Lankans in Kuwait repatriated over visa overstaying

A group of 42 Sri Lankans who had overstayed their visas in Kuwait and faced various challenges, including running away from their places of employment and working elsewhere, have been repatriated to Sri Lanka. 

 

 

These individuals had registered with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) and had travelled to Kuwait for employment. They arrived in Colombo on Monday (10) through the repatriation process for expatriate workers who have registered with the SLBFE and were staying in 'Suraksha' shelter homes as they could not return to Sri Lanka.
