Long distance bus reservations

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has introduced a mobile and web-based application that provides timetables for long-distance buses and allows passengers to reserve seats. The application is part of the digitalization program implemented by the transport sector to enhance the quality and efficiency of services.
Passengers can access the service through the 1315.lk website and 1315.lk mobile application, enabling them to plan their travel needs. The electronic ticketing system, introduced as part of the digitalization program, was first implemented in the railway system and has now been extended to the SLTB. Currently, the system is available for long-distance buses, but there are plans to expand it further.
The application allows passengers to reserve seats for bus destinations across the island. It is accessible through the sltb.eseat.lk or 1315.lk websites, at over 40 main bus stations and through the 1315 hotline. The hotline operates 24/7 and provides information on bus travel services, seat reservations, and coordination with conductors in three languages.
The SLTB has successfully tested and confirmed the operational activities of the seat reservation system, help desk, and daily reservations on selected buses and counters over nine months.
