Litro reduces LP gas price while Laugfs remains with the old price

Litro Gas Lanka, one of the country’s two leading suppliers of domestic Liquefied Petroleum (LP) gas, has decided to slash the prices of its products.

 

The price reduction, made as per the pricing formula, will be effective from midnight today (May 03), according to Litro chairman and CEO Muditha Peiris.

 

The price of domestic Liquefied Petroleum (LP) gas is going to be reduced as per the pricing formula. With effect from midnight today (May 30) Litro Gas Lanka is going to slash the prices of its products.

 

Revised prices are as follows:

• 12.5kg cylinder – Rs. 3,638 (reduced by Rs. 100)
• 5kg cylinder – Rs. 1,462 (reduced by Rs. 40)
• 2.3kg cylinder – Rs. 681 (reduced by Rs. 19)

 

Despite the price hike in the global market Laugfs Gas price will remain unchanged. In an official statement, the company revealed that the prices of LP gas went high for several reasons such as the rising demand for energy, supply chain disruptions and geopolitical tensions. This has caused a sharp increase in the gas price.
