a 15-year-old girl was hit by the train in Nupe

Last evening, a 15-year-old girl has been hit by a train traveling from Matara to Galle.

 

The accident has taken place between the Nupe railway crossing and Pamburana Railway Station in Matara.

 

The deceased is a Grade 11 student of the Hitthetiya Dharmaraja Vidyalaya and a resident of Bentotagewatte, Hitthetiya, according to Police reports.

 

After attending a musical show the deceased one has been walking along the railway tracks along with two other friends and was hit by the train. 

 

The Matara Police is conducting further investigations into the accident.
