The license fee was raised by the powers vested in the Head of State under Section 33 of the Explosives Ordinance No. 21 of 1956.

As per, the charges of blasting powder have been raised from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 4,000 while the fee for the production of safety fuse went up from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 7,000.

For the manufacture of both blasting power and safety fuse, the license fee would increase from Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 10,000.

The fee for the license to manufacture water gel explosives and emulsion explosives stands at Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25,000, respectively.
