Two persons were arrested for at Mumbai for document forgery

Two foreigners were arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly exchanging their boarding passes at the airport to travel to two different countries.

 

The Indian news agency PTI reported the news on Thursday. The seized are from Sri Lanka and Germany and the incident occurred on Monday at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the report said.

 

The Sri Lankan citizen and the German citizen have swapped their passports in a toilet at the airport. Their intention has been to travel to London and Kathmandu. After the matter was revealed the two perpetrators were booked under sections for cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy.

 

The cops were also investigating if more people were involved in the crime.
