The second stock of eggs to be released from the port

The second stock of imported eggs is expected to get clearance to be released from the port today (April 08), the State Trade Corporation (STC) says.

 

As the State Trade Corporation (STC) says, the second consignment of eggs is expected to be released today from the port (April 08).

 

The shipment will be cleared after the approval of the Animal Production & Health Department, by handing over the analysis reports on the egg samples today, according to STC chairman Asiri Walisundara.

 

The second stock of eggs was imported from India and reached the island on March 29. The  Animal Production & Health Department is awaiting for the samples from the third shipment of imported eggs which reached the island on April 04.
