The wife of a Pradeshiya Sabha member is stabbed

The wife of former Beruwala Pradeshiya Sabha member, Samitha Kavirathna has sustained injuries in a knife attack.

 

The incident took place in a shop where owned by the victimized woman. A resident of Hettimulla area in Beruwala has been apprehended in connection with the incident.

 

A five-inch-long knife was also found with the suspect. The injured woman has been admitted to the Teaching Hospital in Kalutara for medical treatment.

 

A personal conflict might be the reason for the attack, according the police.
