Illegal cattle slaughterhouse found inside a school in Badulla

Yesterday (16), the Badulla police counter-narcotics unit conducted a successful sting operation, raiding an illegal slaughterhouse from an Arabic school in Badulla town. Four suspects, aged 47, 49, 39, and 48 and from different areas, were arrested in connection with the illegal operation.

 

 

During the raid, a calf that was intended for slaughter was rescued. Investigations have shown that this hidden facility had been supplying meat to various butcher shops in the city.
