Long-term, effective programme for tourism sector

Minister of Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation Pavithra Wanniarachchi, emphasized the need for a comprehensive and long-term program to support the tourism industry. 

 

 

During a discussion held at the Ministry's auditorium, the Minister made these comments, focusing on facilitating online ticket purchases and payment methods for various tourist attractions, including parks, ecological parks, and tourist bungalows. The aim is to enhance the convenience of both local and foreign tourists.

 

 

The discussion also addressed the importance of integrating institutions related to the tourism industry and preparing a joint program to achieve common goals. 

 

 

One of the critical areas of focus was developing an online reservations system for domestic and foreign tourists to book bungalows and lodging establishments and purchase tickets for national parks, ecological parks, and zoos through online platforms. 

 

 

The ultimate goal is to provide tourists with a one-stop solution to meet all their travel needs.
