Two fmr. LTTE cadres convicted of bombing get Presidential pardon

Two former LTTE members convicted for the deadly bomb attack on the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in 1996, resulting in 91 deaths, have been granted Presidential pardon.
The pardon was not publicly announced but was given shortly before President Ranil Wickremesinghe visited New Delhi. Selliah Navaratnam and S. Shanmugarajah, both involved in the attack, have been released from prison.
The bombing caused significant casualties and destruction, leaving many injured and buildings damaged.
