Sri Lanka Post to undergo modernisation

The Sri Lanka Post is undergoing a comprehensive transformation. State Minister Shantha Bandara announced that the department will replace postmen's bicycles with a fleet of one thousand three-wheelers. A new Postal Act is in the works and is expected to be presented to Parliament later this year.

 

 

State Minister Bandara emphasized that the government has no intention of privatizing the postal department. The changes aim to modernize and improve the efficiency of the postal service in the country.
