Weather Alert - Public to be vigilant to minimize damages due to strong winds and lightning during thundershowers

Showers are expected throughout the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya districts.

In the evenings and nights, showers or thundershowers may occur in a few locations in the Uva and Eastern provinces, as well as in the Mullaithivu district.

It will be rough at times in the sea areas stretching from Kankasanturai to Puttalam via Mannar and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
