Swiss support for the pandemic response in Sri Lanka

Dominik Furgler, the Swiss Ambassador to Sri Lanka, paid a visit to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees yesterday morning to hand over medical supplies donated by the Swiss government to Sri Lanka.

Medical supplies worth more than $4 million were included in this aid, including oxygen concentrators, ventilators, and antigen test kits and other items, to aid the Sri Lankan government's efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ambassador Furgler has also stated his government's desire in aiding Prime Minister Rajapaksa in improving the hospitality sector's operations and services, as the globe expects to restore tourism in the near future.
