Weather Forecast - Heavy rains of up to 50 mm in several areas

WEATHER FORECAST FOR 23 JUNE 2021 - Issued at 12.00 noon on 22 June 2021

Some areas in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as Galle and Matara districts, can expect heavy rains over 50 mm.

During thundershowers, the general public is kindly expected to take appropriate precautions to reduce the harm caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning.

It will be rough at times in the marine areas stretching from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota and from Puttalam to Mannar. At times, the other marine areas around the island might be rather rough.
