Gas price should increase at least by Rs. 400

The committee appointed to search about increasing the gas price has finally given their decision that inorder to continue the Gas companies the price of gas price must be increased at least by Rs.400.

This was mentioned in the meeting held with the Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardane yesterday (14th June) in the ministry.Further the ministers Keheliya Rambukwella, Mahinda Amaraweera, Dalas Alahapperuma, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, some heads of the gas companies with the officials of Trade Ministry and Consumer Services Authority had participated in the meeting.

Rising up of the dollar value and the price hike of gas in the world market has caused to increase the gas price, the committee had stated further.
