Wrong highway construction caused flooding Gampaha

Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranathunge has said that the flood in Gampaha is   result of reckless actions of the former government when constructing the Kadawatha to Gampaha segment of the Central highway. Because the previous administration did not follow the proposed plans during construction, people today have faced a terrible situation.

 

He further said that the isdue was discussed in meeting and instructions were given to all the responsible authorities to seek solutions to sort out this situation as soon as possible.
