First dose of Covid vaccination for over 60s : Colombo residents are notified

From the 23rd to the 25th of June, adults over the age of 60 in Colombo will receive the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine.

The vaccine will be provided at the Kettarama Temple, P.D. Sirisena Grounds in Maligawatta, and Roxy Community Centre in Colombo, according to Regional Epidemiologist Dr. Dinuka Guruge of the Colombo Municipal Council.

Only residents of Colombo 1-15 would be given the vaccine, and verification of residency will be checked at immunization centers, she said.

Dr. Guruge further stated that beginning today, the public will be able to make appointments online through the e-channeling service.
