Three arrested including Rishad's wife in connection with the death of a maid girl

Senior DIG Police Media Spokesman Ajith Rohana stated that three persons including the wife of MP Rishad Bathiudeen have been arrested for allegedly employing and abusing a minor girl.

The police spokesman further said that there is a 60 year old man who had acted as a broker to enslave the father of the MP's wife and the deceased girl.

The three arrested are to be questioned on a 72-hour detention order.
