China and India agree to resolve border dispute

Both China and India have agreed to prioritize the ongoing border crisis.

The agreement was reached between Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Yi at a conference of the eight-nation Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The two ministers are of the view that it is not the intention of either country to escalate the border dispute and that a meeting of senior military officials from both sides should be held soon.
