The majority of those killed by Covid have not been vaccinated - Health Minister

The Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi stated that the majority of people who die of coronavirus infection and those who are still critically ill in the intensive care units have not received a single dose of Covid vaccine.

The Minister said that the main purpose of vaccination is to save the lives of the people and that people over the age of 60 and those with various complications should participate in vaccination programs and get vaccinated.

The Minister of Health further stated that the required stocks of vaccines have been received and will continue to be implemented to implement vaccination programs covering the entire island.
