Man arrested with heroin worth Rs. 400 million

A person was arrested with 40 kilograms of heroin during a raid carried out by the Colombo Police Narcotics Bureau and the Kalutara District Crime Division in the Renukana area in Bandaragama this morning.

Further investigations have revealed that the drug was being smuggled from the United Arab Emirates.

The value of the heroin seized by the police is Rs. 400 million, said Senior DIG Police Spokesman Ajith Rohana.
