Mahinda Rajapaksa to be sworn in as PM tomorrow

 The leader of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Mahinda Rajapaksa will be sworn in as the Prime Minister of the 9th Parliament of Sri Lanka, on Aug 9 (tomorrow).

 

The sources said that the ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya at 9.00 am.

 

Mahinda Rajapaksa claimed the highest number of  preferential votes from Kurunegala district by obtaining 527,364 votes.
