A COVID-19 patient gives birth to a child in Colombo East Hospital

A lady who tested positve for COVID-19  has given birth to a  baby on August 1 at Colombo East hospital.

 

A PCR test has been conducted on the baby as well, where it has tested negative for COVID-19 .

 

As per the doctors, the mother and child are healthy following the the birth of the child and have not shown any complications so far.
