Lawsuits if weddings are held in violation of health laws

President of the Public Health Inspectors Association Upul Rohana said that from today all weddings will be inspected throughout the country.

He also said that people who hold weddings in violation of health laws and wedding hall owners will be prosecuted under the Quarantine Act.

Mr. Rohana further stated that a number of weddings held in recent days were inspected by public health inspectors and those ceremonies were not held in accordance with health guidelines.
