Focus on weather today

The Meteorological Department warns that 75 mm of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central Provinces and in some places in the Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers during the evening or night in the Uva Province and in the Ampara, Batticaloa and Mullaitivu districts and several spells of showers are also expected in the North Western Province.

The Meteorological Department warns that strong winds of 40-50 kmph are expected in the Hambantota district.
