Showers are expected in the Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Galle, Matara districts and in the Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces, the Met Department said.

Elsewhere in the island the weather will be normal with strong winds up to 40-50 kmph in the western slopes of the central hills and in the Hambantota district.
