Hungarian Higher Education Fair creates new opportunities for SL students

The Hungarian Higher Education Fair, organized by the Ronan Group of Sri Lanka/Hungary, recently took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, offering local students a range of opportunities to pursue higher education goals. The fair showcased Hungarian higher education, which has a rich academic history of over 650 years, with the first university established in Pécs in 1367.
Representing 25 higher education institutions in Hungary, the fair highlighted the diversity of student study options. Hungarian institutions have undergone internationalization processes, providing a wide range of courses in English, with some institutions offering more than 30 English-taught programs. These programs maintain high academic standards while giving favourable tuition fees compared to other options.
Students attending the fair had the chance to explore various study fields, including Agricultural Science, Computer Science and Information Technology, Business Administration and Management, Legal Science, Economic Science, Medical and Health Science, Arts, Humanities, Arts Education, Engineering Science, Social Science, Teacher Training, Sport Science, and Natural Science.
The Ronan Group, led by Chairman Rohan Nanayakkara, played a significant role in organizing the education fair. The group represents 25 leading Hungarian universities offering Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral courses. Nanayakkara expressed his commitment to supporting Sri Lankan students in accessing European universities, aligning with the goals of the Sri Lankan government. He also mentioned his efforts in persuading Hungarian institutions to establish partnerships and ventures in Sri Lanka.
