Shooting reported targeting Thusitha Halloluwa

A shooting incident has been reported targeting former Executive Director of the National Lotteries Board, Thusitha Halloluwa.

 

Police said two unidentified gunmen are reported to have carried out the attack in Narahenpita. 

 

They said that Halloluwa's car was also damaged in the incident.

 

He was reportedly inside the vehicle at the time, but no injuries were reported.

 

It is reported that a file containing important documents was taken away by the assailants, who came on the motorcycle, after assaulting Halloluwa.

 

Attorney-at-Law Dinesh Dodangoda said that both he and Thusitha Halloluwa were assaulted in the incident. They are currently receiving treatment at hospital.

 

Meanwhile, investigations into the shooting targeting the vehicle of Halloluwa in Narahenpita have been handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) on the orders of the Acting Inspector General of Police.
