A young man is brutally killed - six people are arrested

Six people were arrested on suspicion of beating and brutally killing a young person.

 

The incident took place in the Galakanda area, Weligama, the police said. 

 

In the group, there had been two 16-year-old juniors. The reason for the attack was followed by an argument with a woman at the roadside escalated, according to a senior police who had informed Lankadeepa.

 

Reportedly, the young man had been intoxicated after attending a party with a group of friends. According to the police reports, a group of people, including the woman’s two sons had later brutally assaulted the young man after her complaint.

 

Her two sons also had been apprehended and the six suspects are aged 16, 21, 23 and 32 years old, added the police.
