A young woman died in a fatal accident

Last evening, a young lady has been killed in a tragic motor accident on Colombo-Kandy main road while on the way back from a trip to Uduwaka Falls in Warakapola with her boyfriend.

 

She has been waiting for her boyfriend returning from a cashew shop by the road in Kajugama area of Bataleeya when the incident took place.

 

The woman was run over by a bus which was travelling towards Colombo at a high speed and it had fallen into a ditch nearby, after the crash. She who was seriously injured died on the spot. Her name has been revealed as Rasanjali, who resided in Kandana and she soon got married to her boyfriend according to the reporters.

 

The bus driver has been arrested. Nittambuwa police is conducting further investigations.
