Indo - Japanese collaboration to support Sri Lanka

The Indian and Japanese representatives foresee uplifting regional connectivity with Sri Lanka in the future.

 

The Japanese Prime Minister paid a visit to India recently, there, he defined his vision for the Indo-Pacific which is free and open. The Indian High Commissioner also stated that both countries (India and Japan) share an interest in a wide range for a peaceful, progressive and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.

 

Further, he stated that it would be a great opportunity to corporate with Sri Lanka for the sake of the prosperity of the people as Sri Lanka is important as a member of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IROA) countries.

 

Japanese ambassador Mizukoshi Hideaki and Indian High Commissioner opined their concerns on this, at the occasion of the launch of the report compiled by the Pathfinder Foundation themed  “A Medium and Long-term Strategy for Indo-Japanese Collaboration to Support the Economic Transformation of Sri Lanka”.
