Unfavourable weather affects flight schedules

Due to the unfavourable weather surrounding the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake several flights have been delayed.

 

In accordance, the SriLankan Airlines UL 225 flight which was scheduled to fly for Dubai at 06:25 p.m. yesterday got 15 hours late and the UL 454 ready to depart for Narita, Japan at 07:15 p.m. last night, set at 01:05 a.m. this morning. The flight UL, was scheduled to leave for Mumbai, India, via Sri Lanka. It was cancelled after failing to depart from BIA at 11:40 p.m. last night. Another flight was to arrive from Mumbai at due time, 05:35 a.m. today was cancelled.

 

A China Eastern Airlines flight was sent to the Airport in Male, Maldives yesterday owing to the inclement weather though its arrival was scheduled here from Shanghai, China at the BIA at 07:00 p.m.
