A train derailment causing disrupts on the main line

The train services on the main line had been disrupted due to the derailment of the express train (No.1007) from Colombo Fort to Badulla. The derailment had occurred between Talawakele and Watagoda stations at around 5:00 p.m. according to the Railways Department. The train left Colombo Fort at 09.45 a.m. Only the observation compartment of the train had been derailed.
