Police investigations extend regarding the Marine Drive accident

An SUV had crashed into two vehicles along Marine Drive recently and reportedly, former MP Earl Gunasekara’s son has involved in the accident. Bambalapitiya Police is underway with investigations.

 

The accident, captured on CCTV footage went viral on social media.

 

Accordingly, a speeding SUV was captured on CCTV losing control. The vehicle has been attempting to avoid some road construction work along Marine Drive in Bambalapitiya. It has ended up crashing into two other vehicles.

 

The young occupants of the SUV escaped serious injuries.

 

However, the jeep and two vehicles on the road were badly damaged.

 

For a statement to be recorded the Police have summoned the son of Earl Gunasekara as he has been identified as the driver.
