Weather Alert - Public to be vigilant to minimize damages due to strong winds and lightning during thundershowers

The Department of Meteorology predicts showers or thundershowers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, Southern, and Central provinces.

Showers of up to 75 mm are forecast in various areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as the Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur in a number of locations during the evening and night.
