Thundershowers in many areas

According to the Meteorological Department, thundershowers will occur in some parts of the island during the next few days.

Accordingly, showers are expected in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western and Southern Provinces and the North-Central, Eastern and Uva Provinces including the Mullaitivu District are expected to be affected by climate change.

The Meteorological Department warns the public to take steps to minimize the damage caused by temporary strong winds and lightning.
