The majority of those who died of Covid infection have not received any vaccine

Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena said that out of 5222 people who died due to Covid infection, 5022 had not received any vaccine.

Of the other dead, 200 had received the first dose of the Kovid vaccine, while the other 23 had received both doses.

The Director General of Health Services said that the people who died after receiving both doses were suffering from a number of other ailments.
