TID detains a Qatari deportee for allegedly promoting the LTTE.

According to Senior DIG Ajith Rohana, a man who was deported from Qatar for advocating the now-defunct separatist group LTTE has been apprehended.
The arrestee had been quarantined for 14 days at a facility in Mulliyawalai, Mullaitivu District, according to a police official.
The suspect was apprehended by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) on Monday (14) as his two-week quarantine period drew to an end.
The 41-year-old, who was identified as a Trincomalee resident, is said to have escaped to Qatar in 2019.
The Qatar government deported him to Sri Lanka after the TID requested Interpol's assistance via a Blue Notice to find and apprehend the suspect, according to the police spokesman.
He has further stated that the suspect would be detained for questioning.
