Sputnik V 120,000 doses received in the island today

A cargo plane has flown 120,000 doses of Russian-made Sputnik V vaccine from Moscow, Russia, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, by a cargo plane this morning.

The consignment was transported to the Central Warehousing Complex in Colombo by a refrigerated lorries of the Sri Lanka Pharmaceutical Corporation.

The second dose of the Sputnik V vaccine will be given to those in need in the Kandy area.
