Ruwan Wijewardena says that the decision taken by the government regarding fertilizer should be reversed

The Government should not hesitate to reverse the decisions it had made with regard to fertilizer and thus avoid a famine which had already begun to emerge, UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene said yesterday.

 

Mr. Wijewardene told some party activists that resolving the crisis with regard to fertilizer is urgent as the famine has already started to emerge with farmers deciding to stay away from the fields.

 

Therefore, it is time to reverse the decisions which the government has made when it comes to the agriculture sector,” Mr. Wijewardene said.
