Ratnapura Hospital where clinical waste accumulates

Covid patients at the Ratnapura Teaching Hospital are also being treated and the hospital's clinical waste is dumped in polythene bags on the hospital premises.

The waste has been piled up since September last year, causing severe inconvenience to patients, hospital staff and residents.

Currently, there is a high risk of the contaminants being added to water sources.
