People's fears about the virus are fading, while the risk is constantly increasing: GMOA

The coronavirus does not appear to be causing widespread concern. According to the Government Medical Officers' Association, the likelihood of the virus spreading is gradually growing.

Dr. Prasad Kolabage, a member of the GMOA General Committee, has told the media that several genetically altered COVID variations have already been detected in this country. As a result, he believes it is critical to take immediate action to increase the number of PCR tests and Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) performed per day, while also expediting the Health Ministry's procedure of detecting covid positive individuals.

"People try to rely solely on the vaccine effort, but other preventive measures appear to be in the works. People tend to be forgetting to follow health standards, and attention to the virus is dwindling " Dr. Kolabage has further stated.
