Oxygen deprivation can increase the number of Covid deaths

Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Medical Association Dr. Padma Gunaratne said that the rapid increase in the number of Covid infections could lead to an increase in the number of Covid deaths due to lack of oxygen.

Deputy Director General of Health Services, Dr. Hemantha Herath said that all measures have been taken to prevent oxygen deficiency and that more wards in hospitals are being set up as Covid treatment centers as Covid patients are being reported rapidly.
