In SL sports, there is no place for indiscipline, says Minister

Disciplinary action will be taken against any sportsman and sportswoman who dishonor the country they represent, no matter how good they are, Sports and Youth Minister Namal Rajapaksa declared Parliament yesterday (08).

Minister Namal Rajapaksa has stated that "no matter how talented a player is, if that player acts in a manner that degrades the country's reputation, we would take necessary disciplinary measures."

Rajapaksa stated that it applies to all sports, including cricket and athletics. Minister Namal Rajapaksa made these remarks in response to a query from SLPP MP Premanath Dolawattte.
