For the second day in a row, nurses are on strike.

Leading nurses' trade unions went on strike for the second day on Friday (July 2) as their demands have yet to be met.
They have made a number of demands, including 5-year promotions, the inclusion of nursing personnel in work shifts similar to other government employees, and immediate challenges they confront in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, now the President has agreed to immediately grant five of the Public Services United Nurses Union's seven demands and to complete the remaining two demands within the next budget cycle.
