Import restrictions are short-lived - Minister Shehan Semasinghe

Minister of State Shehan Semasinghe said that steps should be taken to alleviate the current global economic crisis by producing what is needed for consumption and increasing export earnings.

The Minister further said that the country's economy is in a weak state due to the refraction situation and these restrictions have been imposed as all sources of income have collapsed.
