A 38 days old baby infected with covid has died

A 38 days old infant, a resident of the Madakumbura Estate in Watagoda, Talawakele, has died while receiving treatment at the Nuwara Eliya General Hospital after contracting covid.

The baby and its mother were admitted to the Nuwara Eliya General Hospital for treatment on August 26 due to a covid infection.

Health officials said the mother was still receiving treatment at the hospital.
